What we store, and why

This page explains what LearnQA keeps about you, in plain language.

What we store

LearnQA stores four kinds of information.

  • Your account details: the name, email address and picture from the sign-in method you choose, Google, GitHub or email.
  • Your progress: quiz scores, flashcard boxes, interview scores and the lessons you opened.
  • Your own work: the bug reports, test cases and answers you type into exercises.
  • Messages you send through the contact page, with the name and email you give.

How we use it

We use it to save your progress, show it back to you on every device and read the messages you send.

We do not sell your data.

AI feedback

AI feedback is off until you turn it on in settings. When it is on and you press a feedback button, the question and your answer are sent to Google's Gemini free tier to be scored.

Google may review what is sent, so don't include personal details in your answers.

Where it is kept

Your progress is stored in a Supabase database tied to your account, and a copy stays in your browser so the course loads quickly.

Signing out does not delete your saved progress.

Your choices

  • See your progress at any time in the course.
  • Export your bug reports and test cases as a file.
  • Ask us to delete your account and everything stored with it.

To ask for deletion, use the contact page and choose Privacy request.

Browser storage

LearnQA uses your browser's storage to remember your progress and your theme.

If you accept all on the cookie banner, we also count visits to the site. We do not use advertising trackers.
